"We arrived safely after an incident free bus ride to AstroCamp. There were patches of icy snow on the ground and the temperature seemed to be in the 40's. After eating our lunches, the students played in the snow for a while until we were able to move into our dorm. Many of the students were experiencing snow for the first time and were clearly excited to be in the snow. The kids had a safety briefing followed by team building iniatives. We did the zip line as the sun went down and the temperature fell into the 30's. Nothing like zip lining in the cold! After dinner, we went on a stargaziing night hike followed by some quality time at the Astronomy Telescope Viewing Center. Even though there were some clouds wafting along the night sky, the stars we saw was brilliantly illuminated by all the celestial bodies. Everyone got to sleep just fine and we are already enjoying new adventures today." Mr. Chase
